On 2nd December 1805 in one of the most important battles of the period Napoleon brilliantly defeated the joined Austrian - Russian army under emperors Alexander I. of Russia and Franz II. of Austria. The battle, also called "the battle of three emperors" took place near the Czech city of Slavkov, but is better known under the German name Austerlitz.
Two hundred years later the great celebration took place at the same location. Over 60.000 spectators (estimation) from virtually all parts of Europe saw the battle being re-enacted by over 3500 volunteers in period uniforms, also from all over Europe. This was the biggest European military history re-enactment ever organised, thus making the occasion a historic event in itself

2. decembra 1805 je v eni najpomembnejsih bitk tiste dobe Napoleon porazil zdruzeno avstrijsko - rusko armado pod poveljstvom ruskega cesarja Aleksandra I. in avstrijskega cesarja Franca II.
