On September 18, 2007 torrential waters swept away most of the buildings of the Partisan Hospital Franja, a famous monument from the Second World War. In a narrow gorge of the Pasica brook near the town of Cerkno this hospital has operated from 1943 until 1945. Apart from wounded partisans, some downed British and American pilots and even some wounded German soldiers were treated there. Despite the vicinity of settlements, such as Cerkno and Dolenji Novaki the location of the hospital remained a secret and despite some "cleansing operation" it endured throughout the war. It is regarded as a "monument of humanity" - as something rather unique it the time of prevailing violence and death. As such it is regarded a national monument.

On May 24, 2010 the reconstructed hospital was again open to the public. Thanks to the work of Ad Pirum's member, Mr. Peter Rau, who have in years preceding the tragedy mapped out to minute detail all the buildings and interior objects, Ad Pirum Institute was entrusted to carry out all the interior restoration work and signalling for the reconstructed hospital. The work was led by Ad Pirum's director Anton Marn. Uros Hohkraut of Kvadratplus design studio was the author of corporate image and information signs system. For this Aleksander Jankovic Potocnik contributed illustrations. Rafael Marn was in charge of the photo-documentation of the progress of works.
