Compared to the First Edition the second edition of the book "Utrdbe na Slovenskem / Slovenian Fortifications" with subtitle "A Guide to Fortifications in Slovenia and Surrounds" represents even more comprehensive fortification heritage of Slovenia and neighbouring regions. Apart from: - the Rupnik Line - the eastern part of Vallo Alpino - Roman fortification system of Claustra Alpium Iuliarum - forts of Gradisca and Palmanova - Isonzo (Soca) Front - former Carinthian forts - Bunkermuseum at Wurzenpass - Fotresses of Pula - castles along the Krka river valley it includes also: - counter-Turkish fortifications - castles along the Kolpa river and 11 rather than original 6 itineraries. The book has 144 pages, 119 colour photos, 10 archive photos, 26 maps, plans and sketches and 26 illustrations. It is published bilingually in SLOVENIAN and ENGLISH language. In his work the author was aided by contributions from: prof.dr. Peter Fister Igor Sapac Marko Frelih Matej Zupancic Vladimir Tonic Rafael Marn and others ... The book was edited by Anton Marn and the English version by Charles Blackwood and designed by Anton Marn. Foreword was contributed by Jadran Sterle. The book was published by Ad Pirum Institute. Za razliko od prve izdaje predstavlja druga izdaja knjige "Utrdbe na Slovenskem / Slovenian Fortifications" se bolj celovit pregled utrdbenih sistemov na Slovenskem. Vsebinam, ki jih je prdstavila prva izdaja, gre za: - Rupnikovo linijo - vzhodni del Alpskega zidu - zapore rimskega utrdbenega sistema Claustra Alpium Iuliarum - utrjeni mesti Gradisce in Palmanova - Sosko fronto - trdnjave nekdanje Koroske - Bunkerski muzej na Korenskem sedlu - puljske utrdbe - gradove ob Krki smo dodali se: - protiturske tabore in - gradove ob Kolpi Namesto 6 pa je sedaj v knjigi 11 itinerarjev. Knjiga obsega 144 strani, ima 119 barvnih in 10 arhivskih fotografij, 26 zemljevidov, nacrtov in skic ter 26 ilustracij. Avtorju so s svojimi prispevki izdatno pomagali: prof.dr. Peter Fister Igor Sapac Marko Frelih Matej Zupancic Vladimir Tonic Rafael Marn in drugi ... Knjigo sta uredila Anton Marn (slovenska) oziroma Charles Blackwood (angleska verzija).
