In Bistra Castle, the home of Slovenian Technical Museum, near Vrhnika, an opening of the exhibition and a presentation of the book, both titled
RUPNIKOVA LINIJA IN ALPSKI ZID took place on Thursday, September 23, 2004.
Some prominent guests attended the occasion:, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Slovenia, his excellence Mr. Tomas Sunyog, the cultural attache of the Czech republic, Mr. Marek Pavlik, Czech fortifications expert Mr. Milos Habrnal, the representative of Chief of Staff of Slovenian Army, Lord Mayor of Vrhnika, Mr. Marjan Rihar, Lord Mayor of Pivka, Mr. Robert Smrdel, director of Pivka Commune Mr. Janko Bostjancic, prof. Tomaz Pavsic, the author of the book "Ob stari meji", Mr. Tadej Brate of Slovenian Conservation Service, Mr. Zvezdan Markovic of History Institute of Ministry of Defence, the president of Soska fronta Association Mr. Simon Kovacic and others
The opening was also attended by Mr. Vladimir Tonic, who contributed most of the drawings. Prof. Mihael Naglic, the author of the Foreword, spoke about the subject of book and exhibition. The publisher, Mr. Bojan Novak of Galerija2 thanked everybody who contributed in making of the book while the author gave the brief description of the phenomena of fortified systems of the thirties. The contemporary music was performed by Adamsi. Finally the book and exhibition were inaugurated by Lord Mayor of Vrhnika, Mr. Marjan Rihar.

V gradu Bistra, v prostorih Tehniskega muzeja Slovenije, je bila v cetrtek, 23. septembra 2004 otvoritev razstave in predstavitev knjige z enakim naslovom RUPNIKOVA LINIJA IN ALPSKI ZID.
Otvoritve so se udelezili nekateri ugledni gostje: ambasador republike Ceske v Sloveniji, njegova ekselenca g. Tomas Sunyog, kulturni atase republike Ceske, gospod Marek Pavlik, ceski utrdboslovec g. Milos Habrnal, uradni predstavnik poveljstva Slovenske vojske, zupan Vrhnike, g. Marjan Rihar, zupan Pivke, g. Robert Smrdel, direktor obcinske uprave Pivke g. Janko Bostjancic, prof. Tomaz Pavsic, avtor knjige Ob stari meji, g. Tadej Brate z Republiskega zavoda za spomenisko varstvo, g. Zvezdan Markovic z zgodovinskega instituta pri Ministrstvu za obrambo, predsednik drustva Soska fronta, g. Simon Kovacic in drugi.
Otvoritve se je udelezil tudi g. Vladimir Tonic, ki je za razstavo in knjigo prispeval vecino risb oziroma nacrtov. Tematiko, ki jo obravnavata knjiga in razstava, je predstavil avtor predgovora, prof. Mihael Naglic. Zaloznik Bojan Novak, direktor Galerije2, se je zahvalil vsem, ki so avtorju pomagali pri pripravi obeh del, medtem ko je sam avtor spregovoril o fenomenu utrdbenih sistemov tridesetih let dvajsetega stoletja. Z glasbo tistega casa je nastopil kvintet Adamsi, na koncu pa je knjigo in razstavo inavguriral vrhniski zupan, g. Marjan Rihar.
