Somewhat unusual but no less interesting re-enactment titled Souboj na Klamovce 1876 itook place in Prague. Radomir Zika and other Gardekorps members with friends from k.k. priv. Prager bürgerlichen Scharfschützen korps replayed last duel in Prague. Duel was in 1876, Prince Wilhelm Auersperg was deadly wounded by count Leopold Kolowrat-Krakow.

V Pragi je potekala malce neobicajna, a nic manj zanimiva zgodovinska ponazoritev. Radomir Zika je s kolegi iz drustev Gardekorps in k.k. priv. Prager bürgerlichen Scharfschützen korps pod naslovom Souboj na Klamovce 1876 uprizoril zadnji dvoboj v Pragi. Zgodil se je leta 1876 in v njem je princ Wilhelm Auersperg podlegel strelom grofa Leopolda Kolowrat-Krakowa.

"BEAUTY IN WOOD AND STONE"
.
In the village of Kosec near Dreznica, just under the peak of Mt. Krn, the infamous WW1 mountain battlefield there is an interesting artistic workshop taking place on May 28 and 29. It is organised by KUD Krn from Dreznica. A group of artists is creating their sculptures, among them Branko Drekonja and Gaja Zornada who are finding their inspiration in Isonzo Front debris to be found everywhere around the place.

."LEPOTA V LESU IN KAMNU" .
V vasi Kosec pri Dreznici, pod samim vrhom Krna, slovitega bojisca iz prve svetovne vojne, poteka 28. in 29. maja umetniska delavnica, ki jo organizira KUD Krn iz Dreznice. Skupina umetnikov ustvarja svoje skulpture, med njimi tudi Branko Drekonja in Gaja Zornada, ki pri svojem delu iscetga navdih in material med ostanki Soske fronte, ki se vedno leze raztreseni naokrog po teh krajih.

"THE CAPITAL OF WAR - THE CAPITAL OF PEACE"
.
The week between 21st and 28th May was in Udine (Friuli, Italy) marked with the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Isonzo (Soca) Front. For two years, 1915-1917, Udine was transformed into the war time capital as general Cadorna transferred his high command to this city to direct from here his onslaughts over the Soca (Isonzo) river. Even the king became a regular dweller of Udine. The occasion was marked with exhibitions, conferences and movie screenings, some on the main square.

."PRESTOLNICA VOJNE - PRESTOLNICA MIRU" .
Teden med 21. in 28. majem je bil v Vidmu (Furlanija, Italija) zaznamovan z devetdesetletnico pricetka Soske fronte. Za dve leti, 1915-1917, je Videm postal vojasko sredisce Italije, saj je general Cadorna v mesto preselil svoje poveljstvo, da bi od tod vodil naskoke preko Soce. Tudi kralj je zacasno postal videmski prebivalec. Obletnica je bila zaznamovana z razstavami, okroglimi mizami in filmskimi predstavami, od katerih so nekatere potekale celo na glavnem trgu.

V nedeljo, 5. junija bo v slikoviti stari trdnjavi Kluze v soteski Koritnice pod Rombonom spet zivahno. Clani drustva 1313 iz Bovca pripravljajo zdaj ze tradicionalni letni sejem militarij. Vabljeni!

IMPORTANT ANNIVERSARIES
.
In May we are celebrating two important anniversaries, 90th anniversary of the beginning of the Isonzo Front and 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. The latter was interesting not only for it's importance and relevance, but also because we have seen a great use of re-enactments: in Moscow, Prague and Ljubljana, to name only a few.

.POMEMBNI OBLETNICI . .
Maja praznujemo dve pomembni obletnici, devetdesetletnico zacetka Soske fronte in sestdesetletnico konca druge svetovne vojne. Slednja ni bila zanimiva le zaradi svoje pomembnosti in relevantnosti, marvec tudi zaradi velike uporabe ponazoritev: v Moskvi, Pragi in Ljubljani, ce naj omenimo le nekatere.

90 ANNIVERSARY OF THE ISONZO BATTLEFIELDS
.
In May this year it will be 90 years since Italy declared war on Austria-Hungary and attacked along the Alps. The main trust was directed towards Soca river, a river in present day Slovenia better known by Italian version of it's Latin name Isonzo. The two years bloodshed on the Isonzo Front followed.
On Italian side the event will be yet again marked by re-enactment in Redipuglia (Sredipolje) on May 8th. On Slovenian side the central event commemorating the beginning of the bloody battles was to take place in Pivka, where an extensive re-enactment ground is being prepared. But since the installing of the Armoured Vehicles Museum Collection will still be in process the event had to be postponed until the next such an opportunity.

.90 OBLETNICA SOSKE FRONTE . .
Maja letos bo minilo devetdeset let, odkar je Italija napovedala vojno Avstro-Ogrski in napadla vzdolz Alp. Glavni udarec je bil usmerjen preko reke Soce, reke, ki tece po slovenskem ozemlju, a je v svetu bolj znana kot Isonzo po italijanski izpeljanki njenega latinskega imena. Vojni napovedi sta sledili dve leti prelivanja krvi na Soski fronti.
Na italijanski strani bodo dogodek zaznamovali s ponovno povazoritvijo v Sredipolju 8. maja. Na slovenski strani pa naj biu bila osrednja slovesnost v Pivki in naj bi se ujemala z odprtjem zbirke oklepnih vozil in ponazoritvenega poligona. Ker pa bo muzejska zbirka takrat se v izgradnji, je bilo treba prireditev prestaviti do naslednje podobne priloznosti.
