NOV & POS

European Union of Re-enactment Associations has a principle that is wholeheartedly endorsed also by the editor of this site. That principle does not approve of the re-enactments of military units from periods after 1939. The principle is quite logical. The aim of the Union is to enhance friendship of people and nations through the preservation of old military traditions. But the second world war is still to close in time, both as an experience and as a clash of ideologies, unheard of in previous European wars. The disapproval is aimed in particular at the re-enacting of the "Black Army", as the former Union's Secretary Mr. Jiri Sissak marked the notorious German units.

But let us make this one exemption and make a peek into the WW2 period via photo impressions from the re-enactment of Slovenian Partisan Army unit, attended on 7.11.2004 also by some of the IR17 group members.
